Haha, one of the most un-charming pictures ever taken of me and my mates, probably. Taken at a party with the theme: “Moustache Club“. If you look closely  you can see some of the eyeliner smudges still present on my face. But seeing as I’m all fidgety, most of it was already gone. I thought the theme was pretty sick, and the party was a ball too. Anyway, life’s been pretty swell. My senior year has commenced and so far, no stress. I quit my job at the bookstore, and the freedom is quite pleasant. I finally gave in to the hype and started to watch Glee and I plead guilty: I lovelovelove it. I think they’re covers are actually quite good most of the time! I was really imperssed. Definitely love their cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”. Of course, all the awesome  TV shows have kicked off their seasons too, like Gossip  Girl; Big Bang Theory; The Vampire Diaries; Merlin and Stargate Universe. All have not failed to excite me any less. Now, I’m getting my geek on. So excited that a load of game release dates have been announced! According to www.tweakers.net Fable III by Lionhead Studios will be released for the XBOX360 on the 26th of October. For the World of Warcraft fans great news was announced this week. Catacalysm is set to be released on the 7th October, very smartly done by Blizzard, right before the holiday season. I can’t wait personally. March 27th, Dragon Age Origins II by Bioware (aka lovelovelove).  Resisting the temptation of gaming will be very hard, which is a bad thing seeing as I have my finals this year. Wish me luck in advance!

I’m currently reading the book: “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” written by Douglas Adams, recommended by a couple of my mates. So far I’m on chapter 4 and incredibly amused by one of the main characters:  Ford Prefect. Even though I’m not nearly halfway through the novel, I highly recommend it to anyone, you don’t even really have to be a fan of Sci-Fi and such. What I find most interesting about the book is how Earth, the very planet which is pretty much the only thing we know, is described as the most insignificant bouncing ball, floating around somewhere in this tiny, irrelevant solar system. How human culture is ridiculed; for instance, how ‘aliens’ describe money as ’small green pieces of paper. I’m really curious to see where the story will go from where I’m at. I hear there’s also a movie based on the novel out there, might want to pick that up sometime soon, too (:

This planet has — or rather had — a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn’t the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.” – Introduction, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
